SRINAGAR, June 10: Following the killing of Tehreek-I-Hurriyat activist, Sheikh Altaf-ur-Rehman, by unknown gunmen early Tuesday, complete shutdown is being observed in district Baramulla.
Hurriyat (G) chairperson, Syed Ali Geelani had called for the shutdown. Reports reaching here said that all the shops and business establishments are closed while public transport is off the roads while in some parts, private vehicles are moving normally.
Altaf, a pharmacist, was shot dead as he was on his way back home after a night at a hospital in Sopore where he worked as a senior pharmacist.
