Terming State Government’s proposal to RBI about extending the moratorium on repayment of all outstanding advances by one more year, this move is unlikely to give relief to thousands of traders in the State and won’t yield any result as is being claimed by the State Govt. There was an urgent need of comprehensive relief package for them; but that has not been done so far, JK PCC Chief said this while addressing a workers meeting at Party Headquarters, Srinagar Today Accusing Coalition Government for not being serious about the problems confronting flood affected traders, businessmen in absence of a comprehensive relief package, PCC Chief hit out at PDP Led Coalition for doing only paper work in this regard. He said the meeting between RBI Governor and Chief Minister is not going to yield any results, as such meetings were held in recent past also, he said. Congress Party represents aspirations of people in all the three regions of the State, having always worked for strengthening the masses, it (Congress) has never compromised on the issues confronting people and did everything for the development of the State and strengthening the people, PCC Chief said. Describing Congress Party as only secular and unifying force in the Country and State, PCC Chief expressed confidence that people in all the three regions highly appreciate the pro people policies of the party resulting in prominent political personalities in the state are coming forward to join Congress Party PCC Chief while expressing anguish over the present prevailing circumstances arising out of the misrule by PDP BJP Coalition in the state, he said people have started realizing that State Government is being run from outside, not by the PDP BJP Coalition. On this occasion prominent Social activist Dr. Tabish a Scholar and Farhat Former Special Secretary Law (J&K Government) joined Congress Party along with their supporters. PCC Chief while welcoming them into Congress Party said that Congress Party is vibrant situation in all the three regions and represents the aspirations of the people fully. He urged the party cadres to remain steadfast in serving the people to the best of their ability. Those who addressed the gathering included MLC Gulam Nabi Monga, MLA Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Amreen Badre Vice Presidents, Faroo Andrabi Spokesperson, Gulam Nabi Mir Lasjan, Surinder Singh Channi, Shameema Iqbal General Secretaries, Abid Kashmiri, Irfan Naqeeb Secretaries, Abdul Gani Khan, Mohd Sultan Mundo, Shabnam Shafeeq, Those who were present on this occasion included Mir Hamidullah, Dr. Syed Ahmad Imtiyaz Parray, Naseer Mir, Shameema Sopori, Javed Sultan Khan and others. Later, PCC Chief accompanied by MLC Gulam Nabi Monga, MLA Haji Abdul Rashi Dar, Farooq Andrabi, Gulam Nabi Mir lasjan, Surinder Singh Channi, Abdul Gani Khan and other office bearers visited NYC Workers, who are on indefinite hunger strike for past many weeks, at Pratap Park Sringar. Assuring full support to them (NYC Workers) he (G.A. Mir) expressed solidarity with them and vowed to fight for their engagement. On this occasion PCC Chief urged the state Govt to address their grievances, as the cabinet decision about their engagement is there.
