Kashmiri girls who are on Indian tour sponsored by Army under ‘Operation Sadbhavana’ Saturday visited Delhi University and Kala Utsav program. An army spokesman said that to explore Delhi, the girl students from Srinagar visited Delhi University. “The students were keen to know about various academic courses provided by the university to pursue their career in a more professional manner. Vice Chancellor Professor Sudeesh Pachoury himself briefed the girl students on the courses and its relevant prospects,” the spokesman said. He said other officials who interacted with the students were Professor Tarun Das, Assistant Registrar Professor Omkar Pandit from Kashmir (Anantnag) and Professor JL Khurana, Dean of Student Welfare. “There was a scheduled interaction with the students from Kashmir studying at the university which further ignited the young mind to look into the change in present educational system and opportunities for job in this competitive era.” “In the evening the girl students met Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel prize winner at closing ceremony of “Kala Utsav”, who appreciated the efforts of girl students, their parents and the Indian Army for organizing the tour,” he said.
