Soon after assuming charge of Government Medical College Principal today, Dr Kaisar Ahmad took a detailed round of the SMHS hospital to enhance the patientcare and security of the whole hospital. Dr Kaisar told KNS that certain measures will be taken to further improve SMHS hospital’s patient care and emphasis will be given to improve its hygiene, security of the doctors and patients will be enhanced. The new principal said that 10 more security men will be placed at the entry points within the hospital to make doctors feel safe so that they perform their duties without any scare. He said that special emphasis was laid to improve doctor-patient-attendant relations in the hospital so that any bitter incidents between them do not happen. Dr Kaisar said that for the convenience of the attendants and patients, the hospital will install public address system to disseminate information about maintaining hygiene of the hospital. “Only attendants with passes will be allowed inside the hospital. Attendant rush will be regulated to keep wards and hospital clean,” he said. He said that about visiting timings people will be informed through media. On the agitating resident doctors, Dr Kaisar said that they resumed their duties in emergency services.
