Hizbul Mujahedeen chief Syed Salah-u-din has paid tributes to Mohammad Yaseen Itoo alias Mansoor of Chadoora in Budgam, who, the militant outfit said, died after slipping off a hill. In an emailed statement to KNS, HM spokesman, Saleem Hashmi, quoting Hizb chief said that the deceased militant was associated with them from the last 19 years. “Yaseen joined Hizb in 1996 to become its battalion commander. He was arrested in 2007 and then rejoined in 2014 to participate in many attacks,” he said, adding, “His death is a huge loss and his death won’t go waste,” the spokesman said, while praying bereaved family.
