Stating that the state was always in the dire need of the secular government, PDF leader and legislator from Khansahib Hakeem Mohammad Yasin said on Saturday that the onus lies on PDP that to which direction the state would go. “The PDP has the numbers. It is the responsibility of this party to take call over the future of the state As far as we are concerned, it was the need of everyone to have secular government and not the communal one in the state which already is in turbulent situation,” Hakeem Yaseen who was part of the Congress-PDP alliance after 2002 polls, told KNS. He added that he has always made his stand clear and has pitched for the union of the secular forces. Hakeem said that everyone is observation every move of the PDP and is waiting for the decision it would take vis-a-vis the government formation. “I can tell you that the decision which PDP will take is going to have a much greater impact over the state politics. Our stand is clear, we had and we will support any proposal which would strengthen JK’s secular fabric,” he said.
