Hizbul Mujahideen has paid rich tributes to the militants and the civilian killed in Niana village in Pulwama district during an encounter on Wednesday. In an emailed statement to KNS, HM spokesman Saleem Hashmi said that while chairing a meeting of HM Command Council, deputy Chief Khalid Saifullah paid tributes to the slain militants and the civilian. “Lateef Ahmad alias Haroon of Beighpora and Shakir Ahmad alias Abdul Aziz of Banduna got martyred in along gunbattle with Indian army. A civilian, Parvaiz Ahmad was also martyred. We pay our rich tributes to these martyred youth who laid their lives for freedom of Kashmir,” he quoted the deputy chief as saying in the meeting. “Lateef and Shakir were assets of Hizb, who sacrificed their blood for Islam. Both of them had sentiments of Jihad, and an urge for martyrdom,” he said, adding that Saifullah prayed for peace of the souls of the slain.
