International Forum for justice & human rights forum incuding separatist activistsWednesday held a sit in at press enclave here to raise their voices against the violation of human rights. The protest was organized to press the international community to take strong note over the rights violation in the state. The protesters included chairman Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Muslim conference chairman Shabir Ahmed Dar, Mahaze Azadi leader Mohd Iqbal Mir, YML chairmam Imtiyaz Reshi, JKLF leaders Yasin Bhat, Zahoor Bhat ,Manzoor Ahmed, Tahoor Ahmed, and others including women and children who are the relatives & family members of those martyred in the massacres. While talking to KNS, Untoo said, “The protest is meant to remind international community about their lapses & criminal negligence in their duty by not putting pressure on India to arrest the killers of all these innocents who were martyred without any crime except that of demanding the right of self determination promised by United nations.” He said that the killers are roaming free and even some cases they were awarded promotions. “The genocide of Kashmiris started from GawKadal on 21 January when on this fateful day trigger happy forces opened indiscriminate fire on a large number of people killing 53 & injuring 150,” he said. He said that the month of January saw Sopore, Handwara and Kupwara bleeding also. “If international court of justice can have persons in their court rooms who were involved in mass killings like in Serbia, Bosnia, Sudan and many other places why cannot the same be done with the mass murderers of innocent Kashmiris,” he said. “We hope that international community will pay heed to our appeal and will take appropriate action against the culprits,” Untoo said.
