Police Saturday solved the blind murde case of local Imam who was killed in the crop field on Tuesday in Bragam Dooru of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. While addressing a news conference, SSP Anantnag, Muhammad Jabbar said that son of local imam has been arrested for his involvement in the killing of his father. “In the initial investigation by questioning the prime suspect (son of deceased) and examining crime scene it was found that, Mohsin Hamid Malik, son of local Imam is involved in the murder charges,” said Jabbar, adding that he also confessed the crime. SSP said that First Information Report (FIR) vide no 15/2016 under section 302 has been registered against the 13 year old minor boy who killed his father for some internal issues. He however didn’t disclose the cause behind the murder but said, “Marital discourse between the parents led to the killing of local Imam,” he added. SSP informed that the accused is 7th class student and will be prosecuted under juvenile justice. Police said that the juvenile has been shifted juvenile home Harwan and will be soon produced before court, said a police official. Pertinently, Hamidullah Malik of Bragam Dooru went to his farmland a few days ago in the village for work. Malik did not return home till afternoon, which made his family anxious and later he was mysteriously found dead in his farmland. People including his relatives had also staged protest and were demanding speedy investigation in the case.
