The three days Travel Mart in Mumbai has attracted huge crowd to Jammu Kashmir stalls with impressive response from this central Indian cosmopolitan city which is called as commercial capital of India. OTM/TTF known as one of the best travel shows in the country with huge international participation besides the domestic travel trade and tourism departments of almost all the states has been encouraging for the Jammu Kashmir travel trade and hospitality sector. Mushtaq Chaaya the chairman of hoteliers club said that his most properties are sold out upto end of April and Delhi, Mumbai and other places have been very encouraging in response to expect 2016 to be the good year for JK Tourism. Nasir Shah of Piltof, Nazir Mir ACTo, Ibrahim Siah of TASK, Akram Siah of TTIG and Manzoor Pakhtoon of JKTA have echoed the same positive hope for the year 2016, they also added that it was the first time in the history of TTF that JK Tourism had established the huge pavilion which accommodated almost all the travel trade fraternity of Jammu, Ladakh and Kashmir and it was located at the best spot as well. JKTDC had organised a Kashmiri food festival also which was enjoyed well by the food lovers of Mumbai. The Department of tourism lead by its secretary Farooq Ahmad Shah accompanied by the two Directors of Kashmir and Jammu along with other officers from RSGC, SKICC, JKTDC and tourism department organised the Road shows in club Andheri west, an interaction with travel trade and media of Mumbai in the convention hall of Mumbai exhibition centre and then the Kargil night in Lalit which was supported by JK tourism and was organised by Kargil travel trade and LHDC Kargil representatives in which the whole destination of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh was presented and promoted for its huge untapped tourism potential. The secretary Tourism Farooq Ahmad Shah along with his team interacted with Maharashtra tour operators association, film producers and directors associations and prominent mamas like Cox and kings, Raja Rani, Kuoni and other travel trade bodies of central India who assured to make JK as number one priority destination in year 2016. The bollywood face and TV actor who is producing a feature film SARGOO Shiyaan spoke about the beauty and peaceful atmosphere in the valley and shared his experiences of being in Kashmir which be mentioned as unparalleled destination in all respects, he urged the bollywood banners to shoot their films in Kashmir and promote Kashmir in positive way. Farooq Ahmad shah assured the visiting tourists the upgraded and improved infrastructure and all kinds of facilitation.
