Hurriyat Conference (G) on Sunday held an Executive Body (Majlish Shoora) meeting which was presided over by the senior Hurriyat (G) leader and the Secretary General of the forum Shabir Ahmad Shah at his Sanatnagar office and which was attended by the heads or the representatives of Democratic Freedom Party, Jammu Kashmir Employees Movement, National Front, Parivan-i-Walliyat, Tehreek-e-Khawateen Kashmir, Muslim Conference, Insaf Party, Mass Movement, People’s Freedom League, Tehreek-e-Wahdat Islami, People’s Political League, People’s League, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Tehreek-e-Mazahamat and Muslim League. The meeting thoroughly discussed the prevailing political situation in the state and decisions with regarding to the future course of action were also made after taking into consideration the opinions and suggestions of the members of the executive body. While paying glowing tributes to the youths martyred in the gunfights with the Indian occupational forces, the advisory council said that the armed struggle is an important front of the freedom movement of Kashmir and our bravehearts are continuously sacrificing their lives on this front and our nation is indebted to their sacrifices. They are sacrificing their present for our future and put a heavy responsibility on us. We are bound not to indulge in any such activity which can harm the martyr’s mission for which thousands of people have sacrificed their lives so far. The members of the advisory council unanimously agreed upon this fact that it is the rigid and stubborn approach of India is sole responsible for the bloodshed in Kashmir and is also costing the precious lives in the state. Had India not snatched the freedom rights of the Kashmiris, our beloved children would not had agreed to pickup gun when it was their school and college life. We are purely a peace loving nation and we are struggling for our right to self determination. The participants of the meeting said that the most needful party for the establishment of peace is the Kashmiri nation but the keys to establish the peace in the region are with India. The Indian rulers should shun their rigidness and stubbornness and accept the ground realities. Kashmir is a disputed territory and the people of this land will never accept and tolerate the Indian forced military occupation. Until and unless the Kashmiri people are asked their wishes and those wishes are respected, the struggle will continue at every level and at any cost and no power in the world can motivate Kashmiris to compromise on the slavery of India. The executive body also confirmed this decision according to which an important press conference is scheduled to be held on Monday at 12:00 noon at the Sanatnagar on a very important issue.
