Srinagar | May 28 : Launching a scathing attack on the BJP, the Congress on Saturday said the Narendra Modi led Centre government has no clear policy on Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior Congress leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Pritviraj Chavan while addressing a press conference said even after two years, the BJP led New Delhi government has failed to rehabilitrate the 2014 flood victims of the state. “Prime Minister visited the state but did nothing for the flood victims,” he said, who was flanked by the JK Congress President G A Mir and several other party leaders.
Taking on the BJP for its failure to include Srinagar and Jammu into the list of smart cities, he asked the Modi led government to clear its stand on policy of JK.
The former Maharashtra Chief Minister said that Congress supports the return of the Kashmir pandits with dignity and honor. However he said that Congress would respond to the issue of setting up of sainik colonies and composite townships for pandits once the PDP- BJP government would clear its policy on these issues.
Further the Congress leader said the minorities were feeling insecure under the Narendra Modi led Centre government and BJP was dividing the country. He said India has witnessed no development during the last two years since the BJP formed the government at the Centre. (PTK)
