Sopore, June 08 : Dangerpora village of North kashmir’s sopore town are facing water shortage even as the holy month of Ramzan is in progress.
Residents alleged authorities for failing to provide regular water supply. They alleged that despite bringing the issue into the notice of the officials concerned nothing was done.
“Our area has been grappling with the water crisis for more than one month which has now reached an unbearable point”, a group of Dangerpora inhabbitants said.
Our village is reeling under acute scarcity of drinking water in this blessed month and authorities are doing nothing said Abdul satar a local inhabbitant of Dangerpora Village.
They urged the authorities to make contingency measures for redressing the alarming crisis of drinking water.
Meanwhile when contacted concern PHE official of that area said that we are trying to provide maximum water supply to the area, he said that people should not waste water or use booster pumps.
