SRINAGAR, JUNE 20- Minister for Revenue, Relief & Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari, today said that upgradation of Hygam Tarzoo-Sopore road has now been taken up in hand at an estimated cost of Rs 14.15 crore under Central Road Fund and would act as bypass for Sopore.
He was replying to a question of Mohammad Muzaffar Paray.
The Minister said that tender stands already invited and work is likely to commence shortly. He said that up-gradation of the road will also uplift people economically living in the Khooiee area, besides connecting Tarzoo- Panjipora-Wagub-Choora areas.
He informed the House that encroachments coming in-between the road upgradations are being removed. He said that the road would be 18 feet wide and would be having the necessary macdamization.
