Informing the Lower House today about the land grab of Government Degree College, Nawakadal, in Eidgah Assembly segment, Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari said that FIR has been registered against the three encroachers.
Though presently functioning at Nawakadal, the government has allotted land for the college at Saidpora in Eidgah Constituency which has been encroached.
“The college land was encroached upon by three persons. Police has filed FIR against them. But they are absconding and have not been arrested yet,” Bukhari said.
The issue was raised by Opposition National Conference legislator from Eidgah Assembly segment, Mubarak Gul.
Gul had raised the land grab in the Lower House on Saturday and had demanded the government to take action and retrieve the land.
The minister said that the constructions that were raised by the encroachers were demolished by the government and grabbed land has been retrieved.
