Srinagar : A policeman fled with four rifles from Chandpora village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday.
Constable Syed Naveed Mushtaq, posted at a godown of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) in Chandpora, fled and took along with him his own INSAS rifle as also of three other policemen deployed there, said a police official.
A departmental inquiry has been ordered into the incident, the official said.
Mushtaq is a resident of Nazneenpora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
