SRINAGAR, July 29: Senior PDP leader and Minister for Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Saturday said that Jammu and Kashmir would witness a momentous change in next three years in terms of its socio-economic development envisaged by the Party.
Talking to media on the sidelines of PDP’s foundation day celebratory function, Bukhari said PDP has risen from a socio-political movement that had started against political and administrative inertia in the State.
Earlier Bukhari led a huge march of his workers from Amirakadal constituency from his private office at Shiekhbagh upto the Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium—the venue for PDP event. The rally marched through Lal Chowk and crossed Radio Kashmir crossing to reach the venue.
Thousands of his supporters from across his constituency were waiting for him to lead them to the venue for participation in the 18th foundation day celebrations of the party. He was joined Minister for Public Works Naeem Akhter from Forest Lane Lal Chowk.
“PDP from its inception tried to address the political instability in Kashmir. Through its efforts, it not only tried to create a productive atmosphere for peace and reconciliation in Kashmir but also took various initiatives for economic empowerment for its people,” he told media persons.
Bukhari assured party workers that the Party would come up with a comprehensive plan to address their grievances.
