Rafiabad : A medical cum veterinary camp was conducted by ‘Rafiabad Army’ under the aegis of HQ 7 Sect RR on 29 Oct 2017 at village Sialkot. The aim of the medical cum veterinary camp was to provide quality medical care to the locals of the higher reaches of Rafiabad region who are generally deprived of modern medical facilities.
In consonance with Army’s constant endeavour to provide a healing touch to the AWAM, a team of 17 Army and civil medical officers from Dangiwacha and Rohama participated in the medical camp. A team of specialists Gynaecologists, Paediatricians, Opthomologist, Dentist and Medical specialist provided medical care to the villagers. During the event, immunisation for children and distribution of free medicines was also carried out.
A veterinary care team also provided veterinary cover to the animals of locals and gujjars/ bakarwals of Rafiabad region which received a large response and benifitted the people of the remote villages.
A total of 531 patients and 606 animals were treated in the camp.The locals lauded the efforts of the Rafiabad Army for showing genuine concern towards the AWAM and assured of all possible help and unflinching faith and bond between army and AWAM.
