Kupwara : It was emotional scenes from every corner of north Kashmir’s frontier district when dead bodies of slain army Soldier’s reached their native villages on Tuesday.
Despite rains and harsh weather conditions Bhatpora Hyhama village of Kupwara witnessed a huge funeral Procession for a soldier who was killed in a Fidayein attack in Jammu on 10 February.
Habibullah Qureshi son of Amanaullah Qureshi resident of Bhatpora Hyhama Kupwara was posted in 36 Army Brigade at Sunjwani Jammu.
He is survived by six daughters children, his wife is expecting another baby. Apart he left behind four married sisters, one married brother and old aged mother and father.
Meanwhile locals said that it was one of the biggest funeral processions for a army soldier in the area.
The funeral was held at his native village Bhatpora Hyhama, in which people in hundred participated.
Habibullah was a good human being and never troubled any villager. He always used to help his neighbours and will be missed by everybody in the village locals added while rolling down tears from eyes.
It is pertinent to mention here that another Kupwara soldier was killed along with Habibullah and five more including one civilian in a Fidayein attack in Jammu.
Mohammad Ashraf Mir son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Mir Resident of Maidanpora Lolab Kupwara and was laid to rest in his native village with hundreds of people braving cold conditions participated in the last rites.
