Free super speciality medical camp held in Pattan

Pattan : To provide specialized health care check up to the common masses of rural areas, a free super speciality medical camp held on Monday at Trauma Hospital Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.
This was a joint initiative by Noora Hospital, Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir and Block Medical Officer Pattan.

In the day long medical camp, more than 1500 patients from adjoining villages such as Palhallan, Pattan, Kreeri and other areas were treatment from specialist doctors.
The medicines were given to the patients and tests were also conducted free of cost during the camp.
A team of doctors from super specialty hospital Noora Hospital participated in the mega medical camp, besides a team of doctors, surgeons and support staff who participated in the camp were availed from government hospitals all over district Baramulla.

“We conduct these medical camps under the Corporate social responsibility of our hospital. We believe that this is a valuable endeavour that will significantly help the people of Pattan to get Free Super Speciality consultations at their doorsteps,” said Mr. Danish Ul Islam, Manager Business Relations and Marketing, Noora Hospital.

“Keeping in view the dearth of specialists in Rural Health centers, a mega super specialty free Medical camp was organised at Trauma Hospital Pattan so that people from Pattan and it’s adjacent areas can take benefits from the camp. Free medicines were also distributed in the camp,” Chief Medical Officer Baramulla Dr. Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo said.

BMO Pattan Dr. Masrat Iqbal said that health department will organise more such free medical camps in near future for the people of this area.

Sub District Magistrate Pattan Ghulam Nabi Bhat and Chief Medical Officer Baramulla Dr.Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo. Block Medical Officer Dr. Masrat Iqbal Wani, Managing Director Noora Hospital, Manzoor Wagay, and other prominent citizens were present at the inauguration.
