Bandipora, June 26: Khawaja Itrat Foundation in this North kashmir’s Bandipora district has accelerated its efforts to reach marginal sections of the society to help them face the effects of Covid-19 lockdown.
Itrat founder of the NGO said that they have distributed 400 food kits and other items among the needy people who have been facing lot of hardships ongoing covid crises in Bandipora district.
He said that the Kits were distributed among needy families already identified by the volunteers including Khawaja Shahid, Shabir Bhat, Zamin Hamayun, Mudasir Lone, Sohaib Rahim, Shaizan Nadaf and Junaid Farooq.
“400 families were provided rations and other essential items including face masks, cooking oil, chilli powder, atta, meat, tea, salt and sanitary items,” he added.
Itrat, worked tirelessly from the start of covid-19 pandemic in the district as he helped district administration through various means.
He also helped district administration in developing contact tracing website last year. Recently, Itrat denoted the Five oxygen cylinders and other medical equipment to district hospital Bandipora.
