Srinagar, May 29: A minor girl has drowned in a water-filled ditch in north Kashmir’s Sopore village this evening died.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said a 5-year-old girl identified Azia Adil Mir of Bunpora Behrampora village had fallen into the ditch while playing. However, she was rushed to sub-district hospital Sopore where doctors declared her brought dead.
Reports said the water-filled ditch which was constructed for irrigational purposes at their apple orchard.
A doctor posted at Sopore hospital also confirmed about this death to this newspaper.
Meanwhile, police took cognizance of this incident.
