6th Orientation cum Induction programme held at IUST

Pulwama: Constituent colleges of Islamic university of science and technology organised 6th Orientation cum Induction programme on Thursday at university’s AB III auditorium. 

The Programme was presided by Dean Academic affairs as chief guest, Dean School of Health Sciences as Guest of Honour, Dean Student’s welfare, HOD and faculty of Watson-Crick Centre for Molecular Medicine, Faculty and students from both nursing colleges of IUST.  The program began with the oath taking and lamp lighting ceremony.

Prof. A.M Shah, Dean Academic Affairs of IUST, chief guest of the occasion hailed the role of Nursing Profession in society and the whole World. He focussed on the contribution of nursing profession in preventive, curative and restorative aspects of health. He emphasized on the dedication of nurses towards their profession. 

Prof. Ayub Qadri, Dean school health sciences and Guest of Honour of the occasion, deliberated upon the importance of nursing profession in present circumstances. He also laminated upon the research aspect of the nursing profession, which plays an important role in bridging the gap between theory and practice.

Dean Student’s welfare, Dr Asifa Baba also opined about the importance of dean of student office in the university.

On the occasion one of the Alumni of lust, Mr. Aqib Mushtaq emphasized the importance of this university, that is committed to excellence in education, research, and community service. Unwavering dedication of teachers in fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity and innovation has been an inspiration.

On the event Prof(A). Asmat Parveen, Principal of the nursing colleges gave warm welcome to new students. She emphasized the value of professional education and congratulated students for getting admission in “Nursing Profession.” 

She also conveyed the value of education and oriented students about the new revised syllabus by Indian nursing council and different facilities available at college and University.
