Two health department employees suspended in Bandipora

Bandipora Mar 16: Authorities on Thursday suspended two employees of health department for remaining unauthorized absent in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

During a surprise visit by Block Medical Officer Masrat Iqbal, in Primary Health Center Ashtangoo, 10 employees were found absent and absconding from their duties, which included the Medical Officer (MO), two pharmacists, three nurses, one BHW, one driver, and one sweeper.

A show cause notice has been served by Block Medical Officer Bandipora to the employees, asking them to explain their issues before taking action against them.

In a letter available with Kashmir Despatch, issued by Block Medical Officer Bandipora with letter number BMOB/Estt/2023/1246.51, it reads: “During a surprise inspection on March 13, 2023, at around 11:00 am, 10 employees were found late and absent from their duties. The employees are directed to submit their replies within a day, positively. “Also, their RDA of two and a half days will be deducted for the month of March 2023,” the letter reads.
