Kupwara, March 23: The Senior Superintendent of Traffic Police in rural Kashmir toured border district Kupwara on Thursday to review traffic management at the district headquarters in Kupwara.
The SSP traffic was accompanied by DySP traffic rural Mujahid nazir and several other officers.
During the visit, the SSP Ravinder Pal singh took a detailed review of the traffic scenario in the border district and directed his subordinates to ensure smooth functioning of the traffic in the town. During the visit, he also listed the issues of transporters and assured them that their issues would be redressed.
On this occasion, several people who are associated with the transport also apprised the SSP traffic, and the senior officer gave them a patient hearing.
The officer on the occasion also said that to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians, the Traffic Police shall take stringent actions against incidents of rash driving and other such traffic violations.
On this occasion, motorists are advised to obey and follow traffic rules and regulations and ensure that they rash drive, observe prescribed speed limits, don’t indulge in racing or competition with other vehicles, don’t use a mobile phone while driving, don’t play loud music, and don’t use pressure or musical horns.
The two-wheeler riders are advised to wear crash helmets and avoid triple riding, besides not indulging in reckless, dangerous, and zig-zag driving.
