Pulwama: Massive Fire broke out in Jamia Masjid Sharif Darul-Uloom Noor Ul Islam in Tral area of South Kashmir on Wednesday morning, following which locals, team of Tral Police, Fire and Emergency Personnel, along with administration & CRPF rushed to the spot and started the operation to extinguish the fire.
While extinguishing the fire, locals of Tral sub district, & police cops including SHO and Sub Inspector, assisted fire and emergency personnel, who all have done massive job jointly in controlling the fire, in presence of officials from administration particularly ADC Tral SY Naqash. However the fire massively damaged the rooftop and second storey of the Masjid Sharief, while the actual cause of fire was not immediately known.
Soon after the incident, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Basharat Qayoom, & DDC member Tral Dr Harbaksh Singh visited the spot to review the situation.
During his visit, DDC member Dr Harbaksh Singh has appealed people to come forward and extend support in reconstructing the Jamia Masjid.
Meanwhile, people of Tral have demanded up-gradation of the fire service station, besides sanctioning of advanced fire fighting vehicles.
