Sopore, Jun 24 : A felicitation ceremony for the government school students who performed well in their annual class 10 examinations was held in north Kashmir’s Sopore town on Saturday. Municipal Council Sopore president Musarat Kar presided over the function.
The government-run schools that had been nowhere on the meritorious list in the past many years including Govt Boys High School Baba Yousuf and Girls High School Arampora have registered exemplary 100 percent results.
Speaking on the occasion, Musarat Kar, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said the students have demonstrated brilliance in their academic examinations and have made apple town proud.
She lauded the efforts of their teachers and parents, saying that academic performance implies the success of critical reforms made in the education sector by the students belonging to government-run schools.
Zonal Educational Officer (ZEO) Sopore Abdul Salaam, who was present on the occasion, lauded the students and said they have achieved success with sheer will and dedication. “One can overcome any barrier and no feat is unachievable,” he said.
The ZEO advised the students to continue with the hard work, channelize their potential, and use it in the right direction for a successful life ahead. He also congratulated the teaching and non-teaching staff and all other students who have performed well in the exams across the Sopore zone and wished them the best for their future.
Besides the officials from civil and police departments, the function was attended by the parents of the students. Prizes and certificates were also distributed among the students—(KNO)
