SRINAGAR, Aug 7: Shahnawaz, also known as Baba Biker a resident of Utter Pradesh, started his cycle journey from Aligarh on March 12 and is on a mission to cover 42000 km from Aligarh to Dubai in three years on Monday reached north Kashmir.
He has already travelled through Uttarakhand, Himachal, Ladakh and Kashmir on his cycle and plans to cover all 22 states of India before continuing his journey through Iran and ending in Dubai.
So far, he has successfully cycled through Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, and Kashmir.
In a conversation with Kashmir Despatch, Shahnawaz expressed his motive for this journey, which is to showcase the true essence of India to the world.
He believes that India holds a vibrant humanity that he wants to exhibit through his trip.
Speaking specifically about Kashmir, he described it as an incredible place to explore, quite contrary to what is often portrayed in the news. Shahnawaz urges visitors to come and experience the real paradise that Kashmir truly is, assuring them that it is a safe destination.
Throughout his journey, Shahnawaz has received immense support from locals, police, and the army, all of whom have joined hands in assisting him as he follows his passion.
During his visit to Kupwara, he expressed his desire to explore the beautiful Bangus Valley, further highlighting the wonders Kashmir has to offer.
