Handwara in association with Bhagatpura Army camp and Boys higher secondary school, Zachaldara commemorated a megha event on Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan Against Drug Abuse and illicit Trafficking, an occasion dedicated to raising awareness about the severe consequences of drug abuse and the illicit drug trade.
Drug abuse remains a significant public health concern, affecting millions of people from all walks of life. It not only poses serious health risks but also leads to social, economic, and legal consequences. The illicit drug trade exacerbates these issues, fueling organized crime, violence, and instability in communities around the globe.
Large number of students actively participated and pledged under Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan to make not only their community ,family ,friends but themselves also drug free .
Numerous dignitaries including Tehsildar Zachaldara ,Principal BHSS Zachaldara ,SHO Zachaldara ,and others. Principal and Tehsildar Zachaldara appraised importance of Drug Abuse and illicit Trafficking.
The Social Welfare Organization, Handwara said this event serves as a reminder of the global commitment for preventing drug abuse, protecting public health, and eradicating the illegal drug market.
