Says 1.6 Cr tourists visited UT this year till September
Srinagar, Oct 07 : The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha on Saturday said that the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is now on global tourism map.
Interacted with the members of YPO-Greater India Chapter at Srinagar LG Sinha said that till September this year 1.67 Cr tourists visited the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He said the number of foreign tourists has gone upto by 350% in comparison to last year.
The Lieutenant Governor on the occasion also highlighted the extraordinary transformation of J&K under the guidance of Prime minister Narendra Modi and fastest expansion of its economy within few years.
He said the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is also a byword for socio-economic miracle today.
He said said that the J&K admin has transformed decades of damage and destruction into prosperity, created environment for people to live a life freely, provided right condition for businesses, startups to flourish and right opportunities for entrepreneurs to convert their ideas into profitable businesses.
