Sopore, Oct 14 : In an effort to support the specially abled individuals in the North Kashmir Range Baramulla, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Shri. Vivek Gupta-IPS conducted a distribution ceremony at District Police Lines in Sopore. This initiative was carried out under the Civic Action Program 2023-24.
The event was attended by various dignitaries including Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shri. Shabir Nawab-JKPS from Sopore, SSP Baramulla Shri. Amod Nagpure-IPS, SSP Bandipora Shri. Lakshay Sharma-IPS, SDPO Sopore Shri. Dr. Raies Ahmad-JKPS, DYSP DAR Sopore Shri. Dr. Hilal Ahmad Hilal-JKPS, and several other officers from the Police District Sopore.
During the ceremony, DIG NKR Baramulla interacted with the specially abled individuals and assured them that the Jammu and Kashmir Police would always provide them with the necessary support. He encouraged them not to let poverty and orphanage hinder their progress, emphasizing the importance of education and knowledge.
Furthermore, DIG NKR Baramulla assured the beneficiaries that the J&K Police would continuously be actively involved in assisting them in achieving a dignified life.
The participants of the event expressed their gratitude to DIG NKR Baramulla and requested more such initiatives to strengthen the interaction and relationship between the police and the general public.
