Sopore : An 18-year-old girl from north Kashmir’s Sopore is the youngest artist in the town because of her sketches.
Yousra, a student of Delhi Public School Baramullah, has been enthusiastic about painting and sketching since her childhood.
“During the pandemic days, I used to draw sketches and calligraphy, and my parents would encourage me. That’s how I decided to make it my profession,” she told Kashmir Despatch.
She designs Quranic verses and names of the clients. She has also participated in different events and received a good response from the people.
Inspired by MF Hussain and Leonardo da Vinci, Yousra is now receiving daily orders.
“I get at least 3 orders in a day from the valley on my Instagram handle,” she said. Yousra dreams of showcasing her work in exhibitions and galleries.
Yousra found an easy way out by starting her Facebook and Instagram pages. She said, “I am displaying my work through pictures on social media.”
She also added that all this would not have been possible without her parents’ support.
