Srinagar, Feb 28: In a political development, one of the once-famous hardliner from the Hurriyat Conference has joined the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Zafar Habib Dar, who was once a right-hand man of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, made the decision to join the mainstream party today in the summer capital city of Srinagar.
This move has been hailed as a welcome step and a significant message of the positive changes taking place in Kashmir. It shows that individuals who once believed in violence and separatism are now opting for a path of political mainstream.
A BJP leader confirmed this development to Kashmir Despatch and attributed the change in mindset to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji. Through his efforts, the chapter of separatism has been closed for good, enabling Kashmir to embrace an era of peace, prosperity, and development.
The BJP leader also emphasized that the days when people were manipulated by separatist leaders for personal gain are now in the past. The new era in Kashmir is defined by harmony, progress, and a commitment to the welfare of every individual.
