Kishtwar admin gears up disaster response machinery amid Heavy rains, flash floods

KISHTWAR, APRIL 29: District Administration Kishtwar has put the disaster response machinery on high alert amid heavy rains being experienced in the region from the last 4 days. Reports from the concerned Tehsildars have indicated damage to about one dozen houses in Tehsil Nagseni, Mughalmaidan and Kishtwar.


In Tehsil Nagseni, a Kacha house was fully damaged, while in tehsil Mughalmaidan, 07 Pacca houses and 2 Kacha houses were partially damaged due to rains.
Similarly a Pacca house and a Cow Shed suffered major damages, while a mud house and Private School Building were partially damaged in Kishtwar Tehsil.


The district administration under the overall supervision of District Magistrate, Dr. Devansh Yadav, promptly relocated the affected families to nearby safe places, while the Red Cross team is actively involved in delivering relief material and essential support to the affected people.
