College’s Rising Champs emerge as winners
Sopore, May 07 : The Sopore Law College organized a cricket tournament for the campus students in memory of Prof. G.R Bacha, which concluded on Tuesday with Rising Champs emerging as the winners in a nail-biter match.
According to the college press release, the final match witnessed thrilling performances from both teams, Rising Champs and Legal Falcons, as they put up a tough fight until the very end.
The match was not unlike an Indo-Pak encounter, with pressure, drama, and emotion palpable throughout the final, and eventually, Rising Champs emerged victorious after a nail-biting finish.
The tournament was played among four teams from the campus, aimed at promoting sportsmanship and unity among the youth.
During the closing ceremony, the management team of Sopore Law College, under the leadership of Mrs. Tankeena Bacha, presented the winners with the prestigious trophy.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Tankeena Bacha praised the efforts of all the teams and emphasized the importance of such events in fostering a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition among the youth. She expressed her delight at the success of the tournament and encouraged the players to continue pursuing their passion for cricket.
Pertinently, the tournament was a tribute to Professor G.R Bacha and a celebration of the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork.
