Militant families in North cast votes

With the changing political scenario in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, where not only people are coming forward to cast their votes for the first time, but also militant families have joined the momentum for development, peace, and prosperity.

Speaking to Kashmir Despatch, Rouf Ahmad, brother of active militant Omar from Wussan area of Pattan, said that he has come forward to cast his vote for development. He emphasized that voting is our right, and everyone should exercise this right.

Rouf also appealed to his active militant brother to return and join the mainstream for a better future.

The family of another militant, Abid Qayoom, also cast their votes in the Wussan area of Pattan.

Abdul Qayoom, the father of another active militant, told Kashmir Despatch, “My son may have chosen the wrong path, but for the bright future of the younger generation, we can secure their future by casting our votes, a right that everyone should exercise.”

In Brath village of Sopore, the father of active militant Bilal Ahmad Mir also cast his vote.

Mohd Hamza Mir, after casting his vote, stated that we need change, we need to do something for our young generation for their bright future.

Pertinently, Approximate 7.3 perfect voter turnout recorded till 9 am for Baramulla Parliamentary constituency.
