Reasi, July 10 :- A man involved in murder it a police constable has been held in Reasi district on Wednesday.
A senior police official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that around 2.40 PM on 10th July 2024, an information was recieved at Police Station Reasi regarding dead body of Constable Zahoor Ahmed (Belt No. 481/KTR), son of Mohd Qasim, which was lying near Gran Morh, Reasi. Upon receiving the information, District Police Reasi promptly swung into action and shifted the deceased to District Hospital Reasi for further examination and post mortem.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 115/ 2024 under sections 103 BNS, 4/25 Arms act was registered at PS Reasi. Taking note of the gravity of offence SSP Reasi immediately formed different teams headed by Dy.SP HQ Reasi and SHO Reasi to nab the accused involved in it,official said
After extensive and dedicated efforts, District Police Reasi successfully apprehended the accused, Shakoor Ahmed alias Shoki S/O Abdul Hamid R/O Katal Gran Morh, Reasi within an hour who after committing the crime tried to flee away from the district,he added.
Further investigation in the case is going on. District Police Reasi is committed to ensure justice and maintain safety and security of the community, official added.(KS)
