The Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, Sh. Anand Jain, IPS, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sh. Ramesh Kumar, IAS, accompanied by Sh. Tejinder Singh, IPS DIG RP Range, Ch. Mohd. Yasin, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, District Poonch & Sh. Yougal Kumar Manhas, JKPS, SSP Poonch inaugurated the “Overseas Helpdesk” and “Anti-Drug Helpline” in Conference Hall of DPL Poonch.
- During inaugural, the ADGP Jammu Zone asserted that in order to address and resolve the issues faced by our citizens who have migrated abroad for Education/livelihood or any other purpose, RPHQ Rajouri is pleased to announce for establishing a dedicated helpdesk which aims to redress the grievances being faced by our citizens while being away from home. The helpdesk is equipped with two helpline numbers and an email address to ensure easy access and prompt response:

- This helpdesk shall operate 24/7 and aims to provide comprehensive support, addressing a wide range of issues that overseas citizens may face including property disputes, legal queries, matrimonial disputes, cheating/frauds and other crime related matters. This helpdesk is a step towards strengthening JKP’s connection with our overseas community and ensuring that their voices are heard and their issues are resolved promptly. We encourage all overseas citizens to reach out to us in case of any issue.
- Another Helpline inaugurated in the event “Anti-Drug Helpline” shall also operate 24/7 and is being seen as gateway for general public to contribute progressively in JKP’s noble fight against drug abuse. A very valuable booklet containing insights into different types of drugs and their ingredients, signs & effects of drug abuse, reasons of drug uses and very informative watchlist for parents and teachers was also shared on inaugural event.
- The booklet appeals general public to SMS/ WhatsApp any information regarding illicit sale/purchase of drugs in Poonch district on the dedicated number +91 9622003495 and in Rajouri district on +919596047100. The identity of the informer shall not be disclosed under any circumstances.
- Others who attended the event were all GOs of District Poonch besides DySP Hqrs Rajouri, SDPOs Nowshera & Manjakote of District Rajouri and all SHOs and ICPPs of District Poonch.
