Joint inspection conducted in Baramulla to ensure compliance with CCTV, CBS Systems

Baramulla, Aug 17 : A joint team comprising a first class magistrate, police and the Drug control officer Gowher Mushtaq conducted an inspection of retail and wholesale drug establishments in Baramulla town.

The inspection aimed to ensure compliance with the installation of CCTV cameras and the CBS billing system.

Officials part of the inspection team said that, during the drive, around 25 establishments were assessed, and it was found that the majority had adhered to the directives regarding the installation of CCTV cameras and CBS systems.

The inspection team also verified that the installed CCTV cameras were supported by a 24/7 power backup system. One retailer’s operation was suspended on the spot for violations of the Act.

The officials concerned said that the inspection drive will continue until 100 percent compliance with the CBS system installation is achieved.
