Bandipora, Aug 20: The residents of Chandaji village in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday appealed to authorities for early clearance of their road closed after a landslide last week.
Local residents, while speaking with the Kashmir Despatch, said that despite around five days passing, the authorities are yet to clear their roads closed after heavy rainfall and flash floods.
“No officials from the local administration visited the spot for the last five days. We have been disconnected, and the authorities are turning a blind eye towards the poor people,” the residents said.
The residents appealed to higher authorities to intervene and address their legitimate grievances.
The residents are hopeful that their pleas will be heard and that the administration will act swiftly to resolve this matter, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
Meanwhile, the Executive Engineer PMGSY Bandipora said that they were busy with the election process. He assured that the team with the necessary machinery will be sent to clear the road tomorrow.
