Bandipora, Sep 02: Former president of the Contractors Association Bandipora, Naseer Mir, on Monday announced that he will contest the assembly elections from the Bandipora constituency as an independent candidate. He pledged to address the grave issues of the people of Bandipora.
Addressing the media at the Town Hall Bandipora, Mir alleged that former MLAs of Bandipora failed to solve public grievances, and basic facilities are yet to reach the people of Bandipora.
“Our youth are suffering due to unemployment, and we are the only district where we do not have an industrial sector,” he said.
Mir pledged to create employment opportunities for the unemployed youth so that they can earn their livelihood instead of falling into drug abuse.
“Everyone in Bandipora now wants change, and I request the people to give a chance to new faces so that this family politics ends,” he added.
