Tral, Sep 15: Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar stated that all the independent candidates in Kashmir are actually slaves of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Addressing the media In Tral as per the Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, Kanhaiya Kumar said that the people of Kashmir should know that these so-called independent candidates are actually slaves of the BJP, and their strings are being held by Union Home minister Amit Shah.
He said that if people understand this fact, then I am sure the NC-Congress alliance will form the government here for the betterment of state.
The Congress leader said that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi have failed historically, and I am saying this on camera.
He raised questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that elections are being held in Jammu and Kashmir today, Why thousands of government posts are lying vacant here?
Why are journalists, civil society members being arrested and jailed here? Why are people being confined to their homes?
He should answer why BJP leaders sitting in Delhi are talking about economically boycotting Jammu and Kashmir, saying that the roads should be shut down so that apple exports from Kashmir are affected, and what kind of development is Prime Minister Modi talking about?
He said Congress speaks for everyone, irrespective of their community, and is raising the rights of Jammu and Kashmir.
Congress youth leader said that we are hopeful that the people here will give the answer to this oppression through their votes and will make Congress win, so that peace and prosperity prevail.
Meanwhile, The forming of an alliance between the Congress and the National Conference (NC) for the assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir is a significant development. A similar alliance, aimed at countering the BJP, had shown promising results in the Lok Sabha polls―the NC secured two of the three seats in Kashmir, while the Congress, despite losing two seats in Jammu to the BJP, increased its vote share.
