Says Sopore will see a new beginning after 8 October

Sopore, Sep 25: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah stated that the central government has assigned Parliamentarian Er. Rashid to Kashmir again so that he can play with the emotions of the people and divide the votes.
Addressing a mega election rally in north Kashmir’s Sopore town, Omar Abdullah, as per Kashmir Despatch, said that Er Rashid is claiming that he wants to further the agenda of the Hurriyat, but when we look at his words and actions, there is a huge difference. The person who says that he wants to take forward the Hurriyat Conference agenda, embraces those people who have removed the Hurriyat Conference’s board from their office in Rajbagh, Srinagar and give statements through the press everywhere, will not wait until Yasin Malik is hanged, and this person not only garlands Er Rashid but also campaigns for him.
He asked, “How can we believe what Er Rashid says or does?”
Omar said that the AIP people are giving speeches everywhere, saying that they want to prove the ‘New Kashmir’ slogan of Narendra Modi as false, which is a good thing, but the question is who are the candidates they have fielded, the same people who have implemented Narendra Modi’s agenda here for the last 5 years.
He asked, “Let me tell you who the AIP candidate from Sumbal Sonawari is, the same person who has been in our party for 5 years and implemented Delhi’s agenda. The person who is contesting from Beerwah was caught taking money just yesterday, and the person who has been the chairman for 5 years has implemented Delhi’s agenda and worked on their directions, and now he is contesting on an AIP ticket.”
He said, “So how can we believe what Er Rashid is saying or doing? The reality is that he has been brought into the field just to play with your emotions and divide the votes so that your voice becomes weaker.”
Omar said that in the previous Lok Sabha elections, people’s emotions were used, and our young men and sisters were misled.
He said that at that time, a wrong notion was created that Er Rashid would come out of jail with the votes, but this is never possible because no one comes out of jail on the basis of votes, and if this were the case, then Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia would not be in jail.
Referring to Umar Khalid, Omar Abdullah told the people that Umar Khalid has been in jail for 5 years under UAPA, only he has raised some anti-national slogans, and he has not been granted bail yet, and here is a person, Er Rashid, who gets court orders and is out for 20 days, and he comes out only to divide the votes.
He said, “What compulsion does the person who was arrested by the central government have that he targets the National Conference everywhere, the party that has always helped him, but wherever the AIP chief goes, he targets the National Conference.”
Omar, in his speech, further said that Sopore has seen the most difficulties, but today, he sees a ray of hope in Sopore.
He said, “I believe that after October 8th, a new era will begin in Sopore, and the youth of Sopore can achieve a bright future.”
He also appealed to the people to vote in favor of Irshad Rasool Kar for a safe, beautiful, and peaceful Sopore, where development, peace, and prosperity will be the priority of the National Conference after the results.
