“Expected for high poll percentage in third phase”

Bandipora, Sep 26: The chief electoral officer Jammu and Kashmir P.K Pole on Thursday in Bandipora said that if any disruption happens during elections in border areas of north Kashmir, we are ready with plan-B, hopeful for peaceful elections like first and second phase.
Speaking with the media on the sidelines of a voter awareness programme in Bandipora P.K pole said that the assembly elections happened peacefully in the valley because of peoples and security forces for maintaining peace.
He emphasized the importance of voting for the development of peoples and hoped the poll percentage in Bandipora will be record breaking in this assembly elections.
“Polling peacefully held in the valley, people now wait in long queues to cast their votes. People are happy by taking part in democracy,”.
He added, 312 polling stations have been set up in Bandipora district and ECI has completed all the formalities for polls on Oct 01. “I have also visited the border area’s today. People are eagerly waiting for election day,”.
The programme was attended by hundreds of students, first time voters who performed several skits and other programmes to increase voter awareness.
“Our borders are peaceful till now, we hope it will remain on poll day also,” he concluded.
