Two Kashmiri Radiographers Share Insights at AMTZ Vishakapatnam NCISRT 2024 Event

Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh – September 29, 2024: In a remarkable showcase of professional excellence, two Kashmiri radiographers, Mr. Zahid Hamid Wani from the Department of Radiodiagnosis at SKIMS Medical College and Hospital Bemina, and Miss Syed Nahida from GMC Anantnag, represented the ISRT Jammu & Kashmir Radiographers & Technologists Team at the 8th National Conference of the Indian Society of Radiographers and Technologists (NCISRT 2024). The event was held from September 27 to 29 at the Kalam Convention Centre, AMTZ, in Visakhapatnam.

Organized by the ISRT Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chapters in collaboration with ISRT Visakhapatnam Academic Clubs, NCISRT 2024 has emerged as a landmark event in the field of Radiological Technology, drawing over 1,000 attendees from across India and abroad. As South Asia’s largest conference dedicated to Radiographers and Radiological Technologists, it provided a platform for knowledge exchange and professional development.

The conference featured esteemed experts from both national and international arenas who engaged participants through plenary sessions, captivating lectures, thought-provoking debates, and interactive discussions. Delegates had the unique opportunity to present their research through paper and poster presentations, with exciting prizes awarded for outstanding contributions. A highlight of the event was an industrial visit on Day One, allowing delegates to explore cutting-edge advancements in medical technology.

Representing the ISRT Jammu & Kashmir Chapter alongside Mr. Wani and Miss Nahida were other notable delegates including Mr. Zahoor Ahmad Baba, Mr. Gayas U Din Teli, Mr. Tanveer Rasool, Mr. Wajid Hamid Dar, and Mr. Mansoor Thokar.

Reflecting on their experience, the ISRT Jammu & Kashmir team expressed that their interactions with international luminaries significantly enriched their understanding of the latest advancements and best practices in Radiology, Radiography, Radiotherapy, and Nuclear Medicine. They emphasized their commitment to applying these insights to enhance patient-centered care services in Jammu & Kashmir, underscoring the conference’s effectiveness in fostering collaboration among medical professionals.

The participation of Kashmiri radiographers at NCISRT 2024 not only highlights the region’s growing presence in the medical technology field but also reinforces the importance of continuous learning and knowledge sharing in improving healthcare outcomes.
