Bandipora, Oct 08: The counting for assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir has begun across Kashmir valley. In Bandipora district all eyes are on Gurez constituency seat where BJP leaders hoped for its first assembly seat.
The Jammu and Kashmir assembly election for 90 assembly seats was held in three phases from September 18 to October first.In union territory of Jammu and Kashmir 28 counting centers have been established for 90 assembly constituencies in 20 districts UT.
In Gurez valley the politics have always remained a hot bed where with only a 147 of margin National conference secured win in 2014 assembly elections.
With around 17387 votes polled in Gurez valley in 31 polling stations, the exit olss also predicted a close contest on the seat.
“BJP is nowhere in Gurez peoples have rejected BJP, trends will come in short time but this time NC will wim with a huge margin in Gurez,” Former Deputy speaker and NC Gurez constituency candidate Nazir Khan said.
He also said that in the last assembly polls the road was closed in Gurez due to snowfall but this time the majority of people have taken part in the polls.
Patiently to mention in Gurez valley the highest number of poll percentage was recorded.
