Srinagar, Oct 22 : Safe Hands Dental Health and Awareness Center, Bagaat, Srinagar organized a successful oral health awareness camp in association with Presentation Convent School, Srinagar.
The programme aimed to educate students about the importance of maintaining oral hygiene. Titled “Reaching the Unreached,” the camp featured a series of interactive sessions, demonstrations, and presentations conducted by dental experts from Safe Hands Dentistry.
The primary objective of the camp was to promote oral health among students and encourage them to adopt healthy dental habits. Valuable insights on adopting a healthy lifestyle were provided by Madam Rina Ojeda Pandith, a Holistic Health Coach, who emphasized the benefits of a healthy, natural diet and the harms of junk food on overall health.
Participants received important information on the impact of oral health on general health from Dr. Shahina Yasmin, MDS, Safe Hands Dentistry. Additionally, students were informed about trauma prevention strategies, especially in relation to road traffic accidents, in conjunction with World Trauma Awareness Day 2024, by Dr. Nouman Rashid, MDS, a fellow trauma specialist at Safe Hands Dentistry.
Dr. Tieeka Rashid, Head of Safe Hands Dental Health and Awareness Centre, who has decades of experience in the field of dental awareness, held an interactive session during which self-assessment oral health forms were distributed among the students.
Dr. Mumin Rashid, MDS, conducted a hands-on live demonstration, guiding students through proper brushing techniques to make the learning experience both engaging and enjoyable. The professionals also emphasized the impact of diet on oral health, recognizing and preventing common dental problems, and the general cleanliness measures that need to be instilled in young students to promote an optimal lifestyle throughout their lives.
