Bandipora, Oct 24:- Jammu and Kashmir National conference president (JKNC) Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Thursday in Gurez stressed upon the use of state land and forest land equally in terms of development.

Addressing people Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that people know their problems very well as compared to authorities. “The development authority which will be led by an MLA and other officials should work together with peoples to resolve public issues and should decide where they can use forest and state land with the people’s needs at the forefront.”

He was accompanied by Sikana Itoo, Minister of education, social welfare,health and medical education, MLA Gurez Nazir Ahmad Gurezi to the border valley of Gurez where he addressed public gatherings and assured them early redressal of their grievances.

Speaking with the media Sikana Itoo said that assured people of Gurez for filling vacant posts in education and health department soon says it will ease problems of Gurez people in winters.

She also reviews the social welfare department works in the region and visits the education institutes in the region where she also meets with local delegations and hears their grievances.

“We have taken note of the problems faced by the people of Gurez and will take every possible step to redress their grievances early,” she added.
