Baramulla, 28 October 2024 – In a significant step toward promoting transparency and ethical governance, the Baramulla Police administered an “Integrity Pledge” across all its establishments. Officers and personnel came together to affirm their commitment to zero tolerance for corruption, fostering a culture of honesty and integrity within the force and the community.
At the District Police Headquarters, Sh. Ghulam Jeelani Tagoo, ADO DPHQ Baramulla, led the session by reading out the pledge. He emphasized the critical role that all sectors of society—including government, citizens, and the private sector—play in eradicating corruption. His message resonated strongly, highlighting that corruption is a significant barrier to the country’s economic, political, and social progress.
The pledge serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to uphold the highest standards of integrity. The officers pledged to:
- Uphold probity and rule of law in all aspects of life.
- Reject bribery, both in giving and receiving.

The Integrity Pledge was also administered at the District Police Lines Baramulla by Sh. Altaf Ahmad Khan, JKPS, DySP Hqrs Baramulla, as well as by SDPOs from Pattan, Uri, Tangmarg, and Kreeri, who took part in this collective endeavor at their respective stations.
