Sopore, Nov 09: Just hours after the killing of two Pakistani militants in Sagipora, another anti-militancy operation has erupted in the forest area of Sopore, sources said.
Top officials informed Kashmir Despatch that the gunfight started this evening in the Rampura Rajpura forest area of Sopore following reports of militants’ presence in the region.
Sources further said that contact has been established, and the operation is currently underway.
This is joint operation of Army’s 22 RR, SOG Sopore and CRPF.
Pertinently, two Pakistani terrorists were killed in an encounter earlier in Sopore village, located in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, on Friday.
